The Briggs Lake Association adopted the 2003 Healthy Lakes Plan as part of the association’s planning process, and has been implementing the plan each year since. The BLCA board updates its vision annually and sets goals for the following calendar year.
Mission
The overall purpose is to improve and maintain the water quality of the Briggs Lake Chain and connecting waterways. There are three primary goal areas addressing the water quality improvement strategy in the lake management plan:
- Shoreline and In-water Vegetation
- Land Use and Zoning
- Water Quality Monitoring
Each goal area has one or more specific goals as stated in the BLCA yearly goals.
